    Lubricate the splines of the transmission output shaft and the outside of the driveshaft sleeve yoke with lightweight grease, then install the driveshaft. Be careful not to damage the lip of the new seal.

    To replace the vacuum modulator O-ring, follow these steps. Remove the vacuum line, hold-down bolt, and vacuum modulator from the transmission. Remove the old O-ring from the vacuum modulator. Coat the new O-ring with clean ATF before installation. Install the new O-ring on the vacuum modulator. Reinstall the vacuum modulator in its original position on the transmission.
