    Remove the oil pan. Remove the oil pick-up tube and screen. Remove the engine front cover, timing chains, and crankshaft sprockets. Loosen each of the four oil pump mounting bolts one turn. Then, gradually and evenly, loosen each bolt in several steps. When all bolts are loose, remove the bolts and oil pump.
