Remove the old gasket from the rear axle housing and cover, and clean the gasket mounting surface on the cover, apply silicone sealant to this mounting area, and then bolt the cover back onto the housing and tighten in a star like manner. Pour in the right lubricant to the axle, replace the brake drums, wheels, and lug nuts in place, raise the vehicle to the standard height and tighten the lug nuts to the required torque.
