To allow easy removal of the power steering pump, the cable from the negative terminal of the battery should be disconnected. Finally, with a large syringe or sucking gun, try to remove as much liquid as possible from the power steering fluid reserve and, to do this, you should disconnect the hoses and let the liquid flow into a drain pan. In models that you have with a fluid reservoir that is positioned at a distance from the block, it will be necessary to take it off. Then, remove the drivebelt, and then remove the electrical connector from the power steering pump, and finally, loosen the bolt of the power steering high pressure fluid line support bracket. The pressures and supplying hoses have to be disconnected and the mounting screws have to be loosened for removing the pump from the engine. For removal, for installation reverse these steps by instating new sealing washer on the high pressure line, tightening the mounting bolts and banjo bolt as per the torque, refilling the power steering reservoir with the recommended fluid and bleeding the hydraulic system.
