Chill the front wheel lug nuts, lift the car, put jackstands, and then remove the front wheel. Take off the rocker panel molding end cap by loosening the screws holdin the end cap in place. There are number of screws holding the inner fender splash shield tightly and the splash shield has to be unbolted from the fender. Take out the lower fender bolt. Both front
Bumper cover and front fender must be taken off and then the fender mounting bolts must be removed. On the 2011 and newer models, cut the foam seam adjacent to the body and the foam covering the inside of the fender nut; on the 2010 and older models, take out the inside of the fender nut. Pop out the rear fender bolt cover gently by using a flat head of trim tool until clips are released then remove the upper rear fender bolt. Loosen the cowl panel grille. For the models of 2015 and later, there is the triangle sail panel on the front part of the mirror, and the fender mounting bolts can be unscrewed, then remove the bolts of the bumper cover bracket visible through the wheel well. For STD and AWD 2015 and later Edge models, the headlight housing has to be removed. Liberate the upper fender bolts and then the fender can be lifted, and it would be desire to get help to do that not to damage other body elements. This can be found in Flexible Foam repair or any equivalent and one must reseal the area along the seam at the body and around the front fender inner nut. Removal is the exact opposite of installation, after hooking up the fender to the hood and the front part of the door, the bolts should be properly tightened.
