Before removing the Clutch Slave Cylinder, disconnect the master cylinder pushrod from the clutch pedal for, if the clutch pedal is applied while the master cylinder is disconnected there will be a permanent damage to the master cylinder. First of all, it is necessary to remove the retainer bushing and to separate the master cylinder pushrod from the clutch pedal. Next, withdraw the hydraulic quick-disconnect fitting in the Clutch Slave Cylinder area by turning it anticlockwise. Step forward to take off the transmission. After this, it is necessary to take out the bolts holding the Clutch Slave Cylinder to the transmission and then shift the Clutch Slave Cylinder assembly off the input transmission taking care over the bleeder screw. For installation, reverse the removal process with the following additions: install the Clutch Slave Cylinder to the input shaft at the left side of the transmission with the hydraulic line towards left side of the trans., tighten the Clutch Slave Cylinder mounting bolts to specified torque, and where applicable, service the clutch hydraulic system with the Bleeder Screw.
