    What are the steps to replace the upstream Oxygen Sensor in the 2008 Mercury Mariner? Posted by Ovidiu C.
    A:
    Disconnect the negative battery terminal. Remove the exhaust manifold heat shield. Disconnect the upstream oxygen sensor electrical connector. Unscrew the upstream oxygen sensor using an oxygen sensor socket. Apply anti-seize compound if reinstalling the old sensor. Install the sensor and tighten it to the specified torque.
