- A:Detach the cable from the negative terminal of the battery. Disconnect the air outlet tube from the air cleaner assembly. Unclip the upper half of the air cleaner housing assembly and remove it. Remove the air cleaner filter element. Remove the air cleaner housing assembly mounting nuts and detach the assembly.
