Disconnect the electrical connector to the camshaft sensor and the electrical connector to the crankshaft sensor.

For installation, remove the circular rubber seal from the front of the oil pan and place a shop rag in the oil pan opening. Clean all surfaces, cut two sections from a new oil pan gasket, and attach them to the oil pan with gasket contact adhesive. After securing the gasket, position the timing chain cover onto the engine block, ensuring that all alignment dowels are properly seated. Apply a bead of RTV silicone sealant along the perimeter of the timing chain cover for added sealing. Carefully install the cover bolts in a crisscross pattern to ensure even pressure, and torque them to the manufacturer's specifications. Finally, remove the shop rag from the oil pan opening and replace the circular rubber seal to complete the installation.

Apply a thin coat of RTV sealant to the gasket surface of the cover and attach it to the engine. Ensure not to dislodge the circular rubber seal or the gaskets.
