    Use special service tool 303-1633 and 303-1633-01 to depress the valve and spring, then lubricate the roller follower with clean engine oil and insert it, making sure the spring clip on the follower clips onto the lash adjuster.

    8. Turn the crankshaft 1-2/3 turns (clockwise) until the crankshaft keyway is at 11 o'clock. 9. Remove the timing chain for the front cylinder bank. Also, remove the water pump pulley and oil seal retainer from the rear of the exhaust camshaft. 10. Follow Steps 3 through 7 to remove the front (left side) camshafts, rocker arms, and lash adjusters. Loosen the bearing caps on the front camshafts in the reverse of the tightening sequence.
