    How can the intermediate Parking Brake Cable be removed on the 2002 Mercury Grand Marquis, and what is the process for reinstalling it? Posted by Shanice B.
    A:
    The intermediate cable can be removed by taking off the cable adjusting nut from under the vehicle, disconnecting the intermediate cable ends at the left rear and the transverse cable, removing the cable and adjuster bracket assembly, keeping track of the order of the cotter pin, washer, and spring. Then, install the equalizer assembly onto the pin and connect the cable ends before reinstalling the adjusting nut. You can Select Your Vehicle to see complete installation and repair tips.
