To remove the radiator grille on 2010 and later models, first take out the upper radiator panel bolts and plastic rivets, then detach the panel. Next, to remove the manufacturer nameplate, unscrew the two nuts securing it to the radiator grille and pull it off. For the grille itself, tilt it forward and remove the lower mounting bolts; note that on Montego models, the grille is held in place with plastic push-pin type rivets at the bottom instead of bolts. The installation process is the reverse of removal. For the grille shutter assembly on 2013 and later models, begin by removing the front
Bumper cover. Disconnect the electrical connector from the impact sensor and the shutter actuator assembly. Then, take out the grille shutter assembly mounting fasteners from the middle and top of the shutter assembly, ensuring to depress the tab in the center to release the center fastener and squeeze the upper retainers inwards to detach them from the radiator support. Pull the assembly forward until it clears the bumper, then remove it. The installation process follows the reverse order of removal.
