Disconnect the negative battery cable from the battery. For 1993 and 1994 models, remove the ashtray and two instrument panel trim panel screws, then snap off the trim panel and the storage bin. Pull the headlight switch out as far as it will go, then reach up along the side of the switch nearest the driver's door to push the knob release button. While holding the button down, pull the knob and shaft out of the switch. Unscrew the switch retaining nut with your fingers, being cautious as the nut is plastic and should not be handled with tools. Disconnect the electrical connector from the switch and take the switch out.
