How to remove and install the Air Bag Control Module on the Ford Focus?

Disconnect the negative battery cable, then remove the center console and air ducting. For vehicles with an automatic transaxle, take out the gearshift assembly mounting bolts and move it aside. Press the retaining lugs to disconnect the multi plug(s) from the module. Unscrew the mounting bolts to remove the module from the vehicle, which is located under the center console. Installation follows the reverse order of removal.

The Ford Focus Air Bag Control Module is responsible for the operation of the vehicle's air bag or supplemental restraint system.
