How Should You Inspect and Replace Fuses, Fusible Links, and Circuit Breakers on Ford Explorer Sport Trac?

A protective system composed of fuses merged with cartridge-type fusible links as well as circuit breakers guards the electrical circuits starting from 1995 models forward through two fuse panels in the engine compartment and inside the cabin. Fuse panels provide miniature fuses which drivers can easily manage with their fingers when changing fuses while visual checks and tests with a test light work for identifying blown fuses. A protective system composed of fuses merged with cartridge-type fusible links as well as circuit breakers guards the electrical circuits starting from 1995 models forward through two fuse panels in the engine compartment and inside the cabin. Fuse panels provide miniature fuses which drivers can easily manage with their fingers when changing fuses while visual checks and tests with a test light work for identifying blown fuses. Each protection component safeguards multiple electric circuits because the interior cover provides a fuse puller along with extra components and an identification chart for proper fuse use. Users should open the engine compartment fuse panel by pushing the tab on the emblem then sliding the cover away yet must access the interior panel through the plastic cover found at the left of the instrumentation panel. To protect electrical circuits properly the replacement of blown fuses requires accurate selection of correct type and amp rating so that the circuit receives sufficient protection. Each fuse comes with its amperage value indicated directly on its body whereas the amperage types are identified through their color markings. Replacing a fuse requires shutting down all power and switching off the ignition simultaneously while using proper replacements only to prevent serious damage. Before replacing a fuse for a second time you must fix the short circuit caused by faulty wiring because this is the main problem behind the failed fuse.
