To replace the EVAP canister purge valve, disconnect the negative battery terminal and remove the engine cover. Disconnect the electrical connector and EVAP line from the purge valve. Remove the mounting stud bolts or bracket nuts and remove the assembly. To replace the EVAP canister, disconnect the negative battery terminal and raise the vehicle. Remove the splash shield fasteners and shield. Lower the rear differential assembly and subframe.
