    How do you replace the EVAP canister for the 2007 Ford Edge? Posted by Customer

    Disconnect the cable from the negative battery terminal and raise the vehicle securely on jackstands. Remove the splash shield fasteners and shield, if equipped. For 2015 and later models, lower the rear differential assembly and subframe. Disconnect the electrical connector and vapor hose from the EVAP canister vent solenoid dust separator. Disconnect the two EVAP line quick-connect fittings from the canister. Remove the mounting fasteners and remove the canister. Installation is the reverse of removal.

    How do you replace the EVAP canister purge valve on a V6 engine for the 2009 Lincoln MKX? Posted by Customer

    Follow the same steps as for a four-cylinder engine, but also disconnect the EVAP line quick-connect fitting. On 2014 and earlier models and 3.5L V6 models, remove the purge valve mounting bolts and remove the valve. On 2015 and later 2.7L models, unclip the purge valve from the mounting bracket and remove the assembly. Installation is the reverse of removal, using a new O-ring.
