The fuel system pressure should be relieved, the cable of the negative terminal of the battery should be disconnected and the air filter housing should be removed as well as the charger air cooler inlet and outlet pipes. The cylinder head bolts require tightening in a prescribed sequence to a prescribed torque and this entails five working stages where the final two stages are the angle torque method. The rest of the installation is done in the reverse sequence to its removal, and then replace the engine oil and filter, and the cooling system, as required.
