Raise the vehicle and support it securely on jack stands, then position a jack under the engine oil pan. If the vehicle is equipped with Automatic Ride Control (ARC), make sure the air suspension switch is turned to the OFF position before raising the vehicle to prevent damage to the system components. Place a large block of wood between the jack head and the oil pan, then carefully raise the engine just enough to take the weight off the mounts.

Raise the transmission with the jack until the studs on the bottom of the transmission mount clear the cross member. Remove the mount and install a new one.

Rubber preservative should be applied to the mounts to slow deterioration.
