How to remove and install the PCV valve on Lincoln MKX? Posted by Customer

Remove the intake manifold. Remove the oil vent separator mounting bolts and gasket. Clean the engine block and install a new gasket to the separator. Installation is the reverse of removal, tightening the oil vent separator bolts securely.V6 models: Remove the engine cover fasteners and oil cap, then remove the engine cover. On 3.5L and 3.7L models, remove the upper intake manifold. The PCV valve is located on the valve cover. Turn the PCV valve counterclockwise and remove it from the valve cover. You must discard the PCV valve every time you remove it and replace it with a new unit. When installing the new PCV valve, make sure it is oriented correctly before screwing it into place, so that the terminal faces toward the wiring harness. If you install the new PCV valve facing in the wrong direction, you will have to unscrew it and replace it again.
