Ensure that the battery is completely charged before diagnosing starter problems. Check if the switch operates the starter and if the shift lever is in either Neutral or Park. Ascertain that the battery is charged; and that all cables at the battery and starter solenoid terminals are secured. In case of a spin, with no engine turnover replace the starter. In addition, check the battery solenoid contacts or line connections when there is no response from your starter although its solenoid clicks. If not, then most likely you have got a discharged battery. Look at whether it was charged and afterwards inspect starter relay circuit or substitute for relay if so needed. Remove the electrical connector to test the starter relay circuit and ensure clean contacts with a firm connection. If by chance you have all these then simply use a jumper wire to test the operation of the relay. The starter is good if it works with a jumper wire. Otherwise, replace the solenoid as well as another attempt for starting should be made.
