- A:For 3.5L engine models, you need to remove the upstream and downstream oxygen sensors from the catalytic converter for the front cylinder head, then remove the catalyst for the front cylinder head. Additionally, remove the CKP sensor heat shield mounting bolt and nut and the heat shield.
