    To maintain the EGR valve for vehicles with EEGR, you should unplug the electrical connector from the EGR valve position sensor, unscrew the threaded fitting for the external exhaust supply tube (if present), remove the vacuum line and mounting bolts, detach the valve, and replace the gasket. If replacing the EGR valve without the position sensor, transfer the sensor to the new valve with a new O-ring.
