- A:On V6 models, remove the lower cowl trim panel. On 1.5L models, remove the air filter housing outlet duct. Disconnect the electrical connector from the canister purge valve. Disconnect the EVAP line quick connect fittings. Remove the purge valve and mounting bracket as a single assembly, then depress the lock tab and slide the purge valve off the mounting bracket.
