    Q:
How to drain the cooling system and remove the radiator on Ford Bronco II? Posted by Customer
    A:
To start with, remove the coolant and pull out the over flow tube of the coolant recovery bottle and the radiator. But beware, ethylene glycol antifreeze sweet taste is irresistible to pets and fatal if consumed; hence, NEVER dispose of it on the ground, along roadsides, or into gutters but dispose it into a sealed container and either return it to the vehicle or insert into a pet's water bowl-only if it's not contaminated or more than several years old. Third, remove the lines of the transmission cooling systems if applicable, from the bottom of the radiator. Loosen and take off the retaining bolts on the upper part of the shroud then place it on the fan-side of the unit but away from the radiator. Pull the upper and lower hoses off the radiator next and unbolt the radiator if it is fixed on using bolts by raising the upper support and pulling out the radiator from the vehicle. To finish with it, put all the detached elements in their places, start the engine and fill the cooling system, then check it for leaks.

    Q:
How to repair Aluminum core radiator on Ford F-250? Posted by Customer
    A:
The cross-flow fin-and-tube design radiator in later model F-Series and Bronco vehicles has a vacuum-brazed aluminum core and nylon end tanks. The nylon tanks are molded with mounting brackets and attached to the aluminum core using tabs bent over the tank edge, creating a seal with an O-ring gasket. To replace or fix leaks between the tank and core, a home mechanic can follow these steps: open the tabs without excessive deformation, lift the tank, remove the O-ring gasket, inspect the core's seal surface, check and lubricate the new O-ring, position the tank on the core, clamp it with two clamps, tighten the header clamps to compress the O-ring gasket, squeeze the header tabs against the tank using locking-type pliers, conduct a leak test at 21 psi, and address minor leaks by further squeezing the tabs.

    Q:
How should you lift the radiator out of the 1988 Ford Bronco? Posted by Customer
    A:
Lift the radiator straight up from the lower pads support or bracket support to remove it from the vehicle.
