    How should the Oil Pump driveshaft be fitted during reinstallation for the 2004 Ford Explorer Sport Trac? Posted by Customer

    As the pump is reinstalled, fit the oil pump driveshaft into the pump. It must seat all the way. DO NOT try to force it. If it doesn't align with the bottom of the camshaft synchronizer, turn the pump slightly and try again. Note: The end with the stop-clip goes up into the engine block.
