    Q:
What should you inspect on the Engine Mounts for the 2004 Ford Expedition? Posted by Customer
    A:
Check the mounts for cracked, hardened rubber, or separation from the metal plates. Inspect the engine mount components for cracked rubber insulators, missing bolts, or cracked metal brackets. Sometimes the rubber will split right down the center.

    Q:
How can you check the Motor And Transmission Mount for the 2004 Ford Expedition? Posted by Customer
    A:
Insert a large screwdriver or pry bar into the space between the transmission and the crossmember and try to pry the transmission up slightly. You can also insert a pry bar or large screwdriver and try to lever the transmission up and down. If the transmission is easily moved, look closely at the rubber insulator part of the mount; it's probably torn or cracked and must be replaced. The transmission should not move away from the insulator much. If there is any separation of the rubber, the mount is worn out.
