    How do you replace the Air Filter on the 1987 Lincoln Continental? Posted by Derrick I.
    A:
    Unscrew the wing nut from the top of the filter housing and lift off the cover. Carefully lift the air filter element out of the housing and wipe out the inside of the air cleaner housing with a clean rag. Place the new filter element in the air cleaner housing, ensuring it fits snugly and is properly aligned. Reattach the cover securely and tighten the wing nut to complete the installation. Finally, start the engine and check for any unusual noises or issues, confirming that the air filter replacement was successful.
