    During installation, if a new compressor is being installed, the directions that came with the compressor regarding the draining of excess oil should be followed. The clutch may need to be transferred from the original to the new compressor. Before reconnecting the inlet and outlet lines to the compressor, all manifold O-rings should be replaced and lubricated with refrigerant oil. Installation is otherwise the reverse of removal.
