    Remove the nut retaining the wiring harness to the intake manifold, and remove the ground strap at the rear of the manifold.

    Disconnect various components such as the mass air flow sensor, throttle position sensor, vacuum hoses, accelerator and cruise control cables, exhaust gas recirculation (EGA) valve, spark plug wires, wiring harness, ignition coil pack, and powertrain control module (PCM) harness. Remove the six bolts securing the intake manifold and lift it off the cylinder heads.
