    To replace the front cable on 1988 and 1989 models, raise the vehicle and support it on jackstands. Release the parking brake, loosen the adjusting nut at the adjuster, disconnect the cable from the adjuster bracket, remove the clip retaining the cable to the body, disconnect the cable from the pedal assembly inside the vehicle, and finally, remove the cable down through the floorpan.
