- A:To replace the front cable, raise and support the vehicle on jackstands, release the parking brake, and loosen the adjusting nut at the adjuster. Disconnect the cable from the adjuster bracket and remove the retaining clip from the body. From inside the vehicle, disconnect the cable from the pedal assembly and remove it through the floorpan. To install, insert the cable through the floorpan holes and attach it to the control assembly inside the vehicle, ensuring the grommet is properly seated.
