- Q:How do you disconnect and remove a battery and Battery Tray? Posted by Customer
- A:To disconnect the battery, start by disconnecting the cable from the negative terminal followed by the positive terminal. Remove the battery hold down clamp and carefully lift out the heavy battery. If replacing the battery, ensure that the new one has the same dimensions, amperage rating, and cold cranking rating. Transfer the heat shield from the old battery to the new one. To reinstall, connect the positive cable first and the negative cable last. To remove the battery tray, follow the same steps as removing the battery. Additionally, remove the air filter housing and then remove the battery tray fasteners. Lift the tray out of the vehicle.
