To remove the front radius arm, follow these steps. Disconnect the lower end of the shock absorber and detach the front stabilizer bar (if equipped) at the link. Remove the coil spring and the lower spring seat from the radius arm. On 2WD models, remove the nut and long bolt securing the front of the radius arm to the axle. On 4WD models, remove the two self-tapping screws that retain the front axle-to-radius arm bracket to the axle tube. Then, remove the lower bolt and upper stud retaining the radius arm to the axle. Remove the nut, washer, heat shield (if equipped), rubber insulator, and spacer (if equipped) from the rear end of the radius arm. Push the front of the radius arm away from the front axle and withdraw it from the rear support bracket.
