Make marks on the distributor base and engine block to ensure proper installation. Remove the distributor hold-down bolt and clamp, and carefully pull the distributor straight up. To install the distributor, insert it into the engine in the same position as before. Check the alignment marks and rotor to ensure proper placement. Install the hold-down clamp and bolt, tighten the distributor cap, and plug in the module electrical connector. Reattach the spark plug wires and connect the battery. Finally, check and adjust the ignition timing if necessary, and tighten the distributor hold-down bolt securely.
