How to disconnect the Car Battery on the Lincoln Town Car?

To disconnect the battery, start by disconnecting both cables from the battery terminals. Remember to always disconnect the negative cable first and hook it up last to avoid shorting the battery. Next, locate the battery hold-down clamp on top of the battery and remove the bolt and nut to detach the clamp. Once the clamp is removed, lift out the battery using special straps that attach to the battery posts for easier handling. Installation is the reverse of removal.
