For 2007 and earlier models begin the removal process by disconnecting cable from the negative terminal of the battery and then removing the steering wheel and the steering column. On the 2008 and 2009 models, one should first turn the steering column covers and then the turn signal switch electrical connector, further, two Torx retaining screws are to be freed from the turn signal switch and the switch has to be deinstalled, whereas the process of installation is just the reverse of the process of removal. On the cars of 2010 year and newer start with the removal the upper and lower shrouds of the steering column and then turn the steering to , lock it, and then turn it another 90 degrees and finally undo the two bolts. Turn turn signal switch away from the steering column, disconnect the electrical connector, and take out the switch, and the procedure for its installation is reverse to the above mentioned.
