How to remove and install the headlight switch on Ford Taurus?

For 2007 and earlier models, the headlight switch is secured with tabs on the top and bottom. To remove it, insert a thin plastic pry tool and carefully pry it from the panel, with installation being the reverse of removal. For 2008 and later models, start by removing the dash side trim using a thin pry tool. Then, reach behind the dash to depress the three tabs while pressing the switch outwards to release it from the instrument panel, with installation again being the reverse of removal.
