- Q: How to remove and install the horn assembly on Ford Taurus?A:For 2009 and earlier models the horn is located behind the right side of the radiator grille. The first step is to pop off the radiator grille, next to disconnect the cables and to unbolt the horn. Fourth, I would pull the horn mounting bolt and take the horn off the bracket and finally the installation would be the reverse of the above process. On the 2010 and later models of Ranger, the horn assembly is found at the front of the vehicle at the lower part of the radiator support. To start with, lift the front part of the car to a suitable height and place jackstands that are firm and reliable. The horn assembly mounting bolt is removed next together with the electrical connectors, and the horn assembly is promptly pulled out from the truck; and, the process of installation is exactly the opposite of the mentioned steps.
