The following models have a Supplemental Restraint System (SRS), otherwise known as airbags, to protect the driver and a front seat passenger in case of an intersection frontal crash, included are an airbag module incorporated in the steering wheel, another airbag module situated in the instrument panel, and in some models, side and curtain shield airbags. Also, some of the vehicles have explosive devices known as seat belt pre-tensioners that tighten the belt upon collision.
