This procedure applies to both the front and rear brakes. Begin by removing the cover from the brake fluid reservoir and siphoning out about half of the brake fluid. Loosen the wheel lug nuts, raise the vehicle, and support it securely on jackstands. Remove the wheels, working on one brake assembly at a time and using the assembled brake for reference if necessary. Wash the brake with brake system cleaner before starting work, ensuring to wash it thoroughly and allow it to dry while positioning a drain pan underneath to catch any residue; avoid using compressed air to blow off brake dust. Carefully inspect the
Brake Disc, and if machining is necessary, remove the disc to also take out the pads from the caliper. Maintain order and pay attention to the captions under each illustration. When reinstalling the caliper, ensure the caliper bolts are tightened to the specified torque. After completing the job, firmly depress the brake pedal a few times to bring the pads into contact with the disc, and check the brake fluid level, adding more if needed to reach the appropriate level.
