What is the general description of the Canister Purge Valve on the Ford Mustang?

The cigarette lighter sized canister actually collects fuel vapors and then injects the vapors into the intake manifold during operation of the engine and combines it with the incoming air/fuel mixture. It has several parts including the dust separator, EVAP canister, the canister vent solenoid, and the canister purge valve, of which the first three parts lie under the car and the last is located in the bonnet.
