How to remove and install the throttle body on Ford Fusion?

Disconnect the cable from the negative battery terminal. On 1.5L and 1.6L engines, lift the engine cover up and off of the ballstuds, then remove the cover. For 2.0L models, remove the air outlet duct. On 1.5L models, loosen the clamp from the Charge Air Cooler duct to the throttle body, then remove the duct mounting bolt and separate the duct from the throttle body. For 1.6L, 2.0L, and 2.7L models, loosen the clamp from the Charge Air Cooler duct to the throttle body and remove the duct. Disconnect the electrical connector from the throttle body, sliding the red locking tab to the rear and squeezing the connector to remove it on 1.5L and 1.6L models. Clamp-off and disconnect the coolant hoses from the throttle body, if applicable. Remove the throttle body mounting fasteners and detach the throttle body from the intake manifold, discarding the gasket and replacing it with a new one while covering the intake manifold opening with a clean shop towel. Installation is the reverse of removal, using a new gasket and tightening the throttle body fasteners to the specified torque.
