How to remove and install catalytic converters in Ford Fusion?

For 2006-2009 models, catalytic converters are part of the exhaust manifolds and can't be serviced separately. For 2010 and later models with a 2SL four cylinder engine and Non-PZEV vehicles, the catalyst is under the vehicle. To remove it, raise the vehicle, disconnect the downstream oxygen sensor, remove the sensor, and remove the nuts and bolts securing the catalyst to the exhaust down pipe. Remove the catalytic converter and old gasket. Installation is the reverse of removal. For PZEV vehicles with a 2.0L engine, and V6 engines, the catalytic converter is part of the exhaust manifold. To remove it, raise the vehicle, disconnect the oxygen sensors, remove the sensors and heat shield if present, and remove the fasteners securing the catalyst to the exhaust manifold and pipe. Remove the catalyst and old gaskets. Installation is the reverse of removal.
