The switch is located at the rear of the cylinder block, adjacent to the oil filter. Begin by parking the vehicle on firm, level ground, then open the hood and disconnect the negative battery cable. Next, raise the front of the vehicle and support it securely on axle stands. Unplug the wiring from the Oil Pressure Switch and unscrew it, being prepared for some oil loss. For installation, reverse the removal procedure by applying a thin smear of suitable sealant to the switch threads and tightening it securely. After installation, check the engine oil level and top off as necessary. Finally, verify the correct operation of the warning light and inspect for any signs of oil leaks after restarting the engine and allowing it to warm up to normal operating temperature.
