If it reaches the highest safe temperature without engaging the clutch, replace it. Start the engine after removing the board and raise its speed above 2,500 rpm to study the slowing down of funs. Replace the fan clutch if it does not disengage even after five minutes. For the removal of bolt-on fan clutches and their installation, take off the radiator shroud, unscrew the clutch from the water pump, and pull out the whole assembly. Reinstallation is a reverse procedure.
