How to remove and install front Window Regulator on Ford Explorer Sport Trac?

Remove the door trim panel and water shield, then the window glass for A1 and later car models, disconnecting the electrical connector from the window motor on power window models. Use the correct size drill bit to remove the center of the rivets holding the equalizer bracket as the bar is held by two nuts rather than rivets for these models. Carefully drill out/remove the rivets holding the regulator base plate to the inner door panel, as well as one nut. Then take out the regulator and the glass holder. When the regulator guides need to be changed, flatten the retaining tab in the end of the channel, take off the arm slides, fit new guides, and bend the tab back to secure them in place. Ensure that the rubber bumper is properly positioned if applying a new bracket.
