How to remove and install the grille on Ford Explorer?

For the models produced up to 1996, open the hood, unscrew the grille and separate it from the car body, while the installation process is rather the reverse of the abovementioned procedure and it is also necessary not to tighten the screws too much. For the models of 1997 through 2002, pull the hood release lever and then pull the hood release handle to open the hood, unscrew and remove the plastic shield in the top and back of the radiator and then remove the headlights. Third, unscrew the grille mounting screws then unclasp the grille from the clips at the under part of the grille slot while observing that the matter of the grille mounting screws is called for. The process of installation should be a reverse of the process of removal and should ensure that the locating tabs of the grille are in place before tightening the screws in place. To perform the change on 2003 and later models, the front bumper cover needs to be detached, the logo emblem in the center of the grille has to be unlocked and then pulled out, together with two grille-mounting screws. After that, unscrew four pin-type retainers situated at the base of the grille, undo the clips which encircle the periphery of the grille and pull out two grilles, while the procedure of their installation is the same as in the case of their demounting.
