Ford Excursion Headlight Switch

The Ford Excursion Headlight Switch allows drivers to control their lights quickly and safely in the night or bad weather. The primary function of the switch is essential, enabling an operator to switch one or more lamps on/off, choose low beam for normal traffic, or click into bright high beam when more distance visibility is needed. All with one easily accessible switch. The Headlight Switch can vary the amount of electric flow to dim or brighten the light, ensuring glare is minimized and the road ahead is clear. Throughout its production, Ford maintained the same operating logic for every Ford Excursion, so owners have not encountered a confusing redesign, only a few refinements to improve feel. Each Headlight Switch mounted on the dash or column contains an internal contact assembly that completes or breaks the circuits with a short throw so that the person using it gets an immediate response. The wiring of an Excursion Headlight Switch is Ford-approved for ease of replacement. The Headlight Switch is fatigue-resistant.

We provide a wide range of Ford Excursion Headlight Switch at the optimal prices. If you need Ford Excursion Headlight Switch, you can shop with confidence on our website. All our OEM parts come with a manufacturer's warranty and are delivered to your doorstep with a fast delivery service.

Ford Excursion Headlight Switch Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to remove and install the headlight switch and Dimmer Switch on Ford Excursion?
    A:
When replacing the head light switch and the panel dimmer switch the initially turn off all circuitry by disconnecting the cable from the negative terminal. Originally, it is slightly different to delouse the switch assembly from the instrument panel and then the connector is released together with the removal of the switch. In much the same way that a disassembly is carried out in reverse to an assembly, installation is also done in reverse to removal. Regarding the rear window defogger switch and 4WD selector switch, the procedure is the same as on most other models: disconnect the cable(s) from the negative battery terminal(s), then free the switch assembly from the instrument panel, pull out connectors and remove the switch, and, vice versa, install it. For the auxiliary power point, the cable(s) needs to be disconnected from the negative side of the battery, the trim panel of the instrument cluster needs to be removed, and the electrical connector of the power point must be disconnected from the backside of the trim panel as well as the removal of the mounting screws; to install it, all one needs to do reverse the above steps of removal.
