- Q:How to adjust Headlamps on 2012 Ford Fusion?Posted by Maianna T.A:The Headlamp adjustment screws control the up-and-down movement of the Headlamps, while left-and-right movement is not adjustable. To adjust the Headlamps, a blank wall 25 feet in front of the vehicle and a level floor are needed. Masking tape should be positioned on the wall in line with the vehicle centerline and the centerlines of both Headlamps. The height of the Headlamp reference marks from the ground should be measured, and a horizontal tape line should be placed on the wall at the same height. It is advisable to park the vehicle only a few inches away for easier tape positioning. Adjustments should be made with the vehicle level, the gas tank half-full, and without any unusually heavy load. With the low beams turned on, the adjusting screw should be turned to position the high intensity zone two inches below the horizontal line.
